Many modern safety systems rely on monthly fees, cloud services, or phone apps to function. Crest Alert does not.
Once installed, the alarm operates locally using simple hardware and a dedicated flood sensor. There are no logins, no accounts, and no ongoing fees.
Safety equipment should not stop working because a subscription expired.

Crest Alert systems are intentionally built using reliable industrial components rather than proprietary electronics or cloud-connected devices.
Many modern products depend on custom circuit boards, apps, or internet-based platforms that eventually become obsolete or unsupported. When something fails, the entire system often has to be replaced.
Crest Alert takes a different approach. Our alarms use separate, commercially available components, with each part performing its own job instead of relying on a single proprietary control board.
This also supports our commitment to Right to Repair. If a component fails years down the road, it can be replaced individually rather than forcing you to replace the entire system.
The 5-year limited warranty also stays with the alarm system by serial number, not just the original purchaser, so any remaining coverage stays with the unit if ownership changes.
Crest Alert alarms are built for long-term repairability, not disposal every few years.
Replacement Support After a Flood
If your alarm did its job, warned you of flooding, and was destroyed in the same flood event, please contact us for replacement options. Crest Alert will never ask for publicity, video testimonials, or reviews in the aftermath of a flood. Replacement support under this policy does not apply to government purchases.
Installation and Required Materials
Crest Alert systems are designed for straightforward pole-mounted installation, but some site-specific materials are not included with the alarm kit.
Required materials include a 12-volt AGM battery, PVC conduit and field wiring between the cabinet and flood sensor, concrete for the sensor pad and pole foundation, a mounting pole, and the nuts, bolts, or other mounting hardware needed for installation.
Detailed installation instructions are included, and many customers install the system themselves. If you have questions during installation, feel free to contact us.
Hard wired
Designed for locations where utility power is available. This configuration keeps the system battery charged and provides dependable operation regardless of weather conditions.
